the So Cal Knights by the count of 15 to 12. Furillo who quieted the home crowd when he lofted a three-run bomb. lit up the scoreboard in the 9th inning which saw them
plate 10 runs on 10 hits. So them from victory. Tom Poholsky(14-4) got credit
for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs. Ellis Kinder(2-5) was the loser in relief. He surrendered 7 runs in 1 inning and saw his ERA increase from 3.47 to 5.06. Scott Campbell was understandably not very talkative after
his team's tough loss. He quickly showered and changed and when
asked about the game had a terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a
heart-breaker to lose. Our guys

highlight belonged to Dale Long who deflated the crowd as he tripled with all three runners coming home. North Bend was not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet
victory eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win
