1955 Awards
MVP
1955 again was the year of the Big Klu. After winning the 1954 MVP award, Kluszewski topped even himself winning his second consecutive MVP award and the Triple Crown. Ted accomplished all of this while leading the Chiefs to a league best 106-48 record and an AARBL World Series title. Klu was a unanimous choice, and easily bested Hank Aaron of Butte and Cy Young winner Billy Pierce of Wilmington. For the season, Ted finished with a league record 56 homers, 191 RBIs, .365 batting average and 236 hits. He also played in all of the Chiefs 154 games and established a new league record with 437 total bases, easily besting the mark he previously set.
